Continuous Operating Power (COP) is one of the core performance indicators of diesel generator sets, representing the unit’s capability of long-term stable operation under constant load, and embodying extreme reliability and stability in technical terms. Based on the ISO 8528 international standard, this paper systematically elaborates on the definition, core characteristics, differences from other power types and typical application scenarios of COP, providing technical reference for the design, selection and application of diesel generator sets in the industry.
